I am a proud Australian / I-Kiribati woman, descended from the atolls of Marakei and Tabiteuea North.
I am determined to embody the strength that my ancestors have passed onto me.
I am passionate about upifting the stories and cultural knowledge of Pasifika.
I write the stories that call to be told and I answer to the call of the story.
As a Writer and Creative Practitioner, I write stories that weave in themes of kindness, family, resilience, pride, strong women, culture and community.
Over the years I have had the privilege to be involved in the deep listening of qualitative research, and ensuring the voice of lived experience and communities is present within research, strategy and creative outcomes.
I am a cultural consultant. I nurture emerging designers. I am a facilitator. I tell stories one on one and sometimes in front of people.
I am a writer at heart - but the form varies daily.
